The Meeting of the Minds Workshop is a full-day, highly engaging session developed to reveal your thinking and behavioral preferences through experiential learning. This session will help to better understand yourself, what gives you energy and what drains your energy. You will also have a better understanding of how to value those that are different from you through practicing the platinum rule, and ultimately improving relationships. You will learn how to communicate more effectively, make better decisions, and value your own unique gifts/strengths.
The Meeting of the Minds workshop is used as a talent development platform in a corporate or organizational environment by empowering individuals and setting the tone for a positive culture. We customize the workshop to meet organizational development needs including leadership, personal development, team building, and communication.
The workshop can be customized to emphasize specific themes relevant to your needs, such as communication, personal effectiveness, and team effectiveness. The Emergenetics Assessment is used in the workshop. It is simple to understand, easy to use, fully engaging, and fun.
Emergenetics is a tool used to achieve a profile of a person’s behavioral and thinking characteristics. Emergenetics profiling is often used by organizations to increase self-awareness, build strong, effective teams, and value/appreciate the differences in others. Emergenetics is also used for educational purposes and relies heavily on behavioral psychology and neuroscience.
The theory behind Emergenetics is that people are born with thinking and behavioral traits already in place. These traits and behaviors are then modified and altered by the environment and social surroundings. In essence, a person has genetic traits that are affected by the environment. For centuries, psychologists and philosophers were certain that behavior only existed as a result of the surrounding environment, but research studies began to indicate that a person’s behavior is a combination of both genetics and the environment. Today, most psychologists acknowledge that both genetics and environment, or nature and nurture, make up each person's behavioral and cognitive characteristics.
The Emergenetics test is a self-assessment questionnaire that results in a picture of a person’s thinking and behavioral traits. This profile is broken down into seven Emergenetics attributes: four thinking attributes and three behavioral attributes. Each attribute is given a color.
