Ken is an executive leadership coach and expert in organizational and process design. His passion is seeing management and employees engage to set goals, implement them, measure success and continuously improve.

Ken is a proud husband, dad and grandpa. Outside of work you’ll find him doing community service with the Rotary Club of Charlottesville, Fluvanna County Emergency Communications, and gardening (Fluvanna Master Gardeners). Ken’s education (BChE & MEng (Chemical) (UofL), MNucEng & MS Oceanography (UofW)) is valuable in his chosen profession and also in helping area high schools motivate their students toward careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Ken is a certified trainer, facilitator and coach.
Leading industry teams design and implement efficient business processes for advanced nuclear electrical generating stations. Most nuclear fleets in the US now use these systems. They provide a solid basis for multiple stations to measure performance internally and across the industry and form a firm foundation for organizational learning.
Having the privilege, as commanding officer, to lead 140 fellow professionals in constructing, launching, testing, and commissioning a nuclear submarine. Creating a top performing team from highly capable individuals who were, in most instances, meeting each other for the first time was a tremendous experience. Working closely with construction professionals, operational leadership, and capable engineering support, we delivered the ship on time, on budget, and achieved the highest operational and engineering ratings.

Being Engineer Officer on a nuclear submarine assigned to implement design and construction modifications found necessary as a result of her sister ship being lost at sea with all hands. After over two years of work, we completed successful sea trials and restored it to a fully operational condition.
