Professional highlight:
Leading industry teams design and implement efficient business processes for advanced nuclear electrical generating stations. Most nuclear fleets in the US now use these systems. They provide a solid basis for multiple stations to measure performance internally and across the industry and form a firm foundation for organizational learning.

Team highlight:
Having the privilege, as commanding officer, to lead 140 fellow professionals in constructing, launching, testing, and commissioning a nuclear submarine. Creating a top performing team from highly capable individuals who were, in most instances, meeting each other for the first time was a tremendous experience. Working closely with construction professionals, operational leadership, and capable engineering support, we delivered the ship on time, on budget, and achieved the highest operational and engineering ratings.

Three words someone else would use to describe me:
Thoughtful, supportive, caring

I consider a day a success if:
We’ve worked together to serve others and contributed to their success.

Tough challenge:
Being Engineer Officer on a nuclear submarine assigned to implement design and construction modifications found necessary as a result of her sister ship being lost at sea with all hands. After over two years of work, we completed successful sea trials and restored it to a fully operational condition.
